Sophie Powers kicked off the evening with a spirited set that showcased her unique blend of punk and pop. Her raw energy and dynamic stage presence immediately captured the audienceโ€™s attention. Tracks like โ€˜Nosebleedโ€™ and her unexpected but brilliant cover of Nirvanaโ€™s โ€˜Heart-Shaped Boxโ€™ set the tone for the night, as Sophieโ€™s honest and passionate performance resonated with the crowd, Sophie is for sure an act new to our radar but one to watch.

Next up was Scene Queen, who brought her own brand of โ€œbimbocoreโ€ to the stage, infusing the venue with an infectious and rebellious spirit. Her set was a vivid explosion of pink and glitter, coupled with hard-hitting beats and fierce vocals. Songs like โ€˜Pink Push-Up Braโ€™ and โ€˜18+โ€™ were crowd favourites, with fans chanting along to every word. Scene Queenโ€™s ability to blend humour, critique, and empowerment in her performance created a unique atmosphere that was both entertaining and thought-provoking. Her โ€œfuck the manโ€ spirit had the crowd collectively screaming in spirit with tracks like โ€˜Pink Roverโ€™ which originally shed the spotlight on her and shot her to fame. Just when you thought the energy couldnโ€™t get any rowdier, Scene Queen welcomed to stage Sam Matlock of Wargasm onto the stage to feature on her iconic track โ€˜Barbie & Kenโ€™ which originally features Cody Carson of Set It Off. Sam had the song feeling like a British Invasion VIP edit, it was a highlight of the set to be sure.

As the anticipation built for the main act, the energy in The Troxy was infectious. PVRIS, fronted by Lynn Gunn, took the stage amidst a sea of enthusiastic cheers and screams that filled the room. From the opening notes of โ€˜I Donโ€™t Wanna Do This Anymoreโ€™, it was clear that the band was here to deliver an unforgettable show. Lynnโ€™s vocals were impeccable as usual, effortlessly transitioning from haunting melodies to powerful choruses that never phase to amaze.

The setlist was a well-curated mix of new tracks from their latest album โ€˜Evergreenโ€™ and beloved classics like โ€˜Fireโ€™, โ€˜Smokeโ€™ and โ€˜St.Patrickโ€™ that will continue to be anthems that demand to be sung along and danced to. The bandโ€™s performance was tight and polished, reflecting their growth and evolution over the years. Highlights of the set included the raw and powerful โ€˜Burn The Witchโ€™ where the strong female energy in the room truly came into fruition and the high-energy performance of yet another anthemic throwback to the bands first album โ€˜My Houseโ€™ which had the entire venue jumping.

PVRIS also took moments to interact with the crowd, with Lynn expressing gratitude for the support and sharing personal anecdotes that connected deeply with the audience. The sense of community was strong, underscored by the presence of such a talented and diverse lineup of female artists.

The night concluded with an encore that left fans yearning for more, with โ€˜GODDESSโ€™ providing a rousing finale that had Scene Queen come back and join the band on stage. As the last notes echoed through The Troxy, it was clear that this tour had been a significant milestone for PVRIS, cementing their status as one of the most compelling acts in modern rock.
