Ray Noir has dropped a scorched-earth anthem thatโ€™s equal parts vengeance and aching desire, introducing ‘Dead Valentine,’ an industrial goth banger that transforms heartbreak into a raw, cathartic celebration of all thatโ€™s messy, dark, and undeniably romantic. Rising from the depths of Norwayโ€™s notorious black metal scene, this rising queer artist channels the grim intensity of 90s and 00s goth and industrial rock into a track thatโ€™s as brutally honest as it is wickedly addictive.

Written by Ray Noir alongside co-writer Madeleine Wood and produced by Jon Cass of As Everything Unfolds, the trackโ€™s production is gritty and fierce, with snarling hooks and textures that echo the relentless pulse of industrial machinery. Itโ€™s a sonic assault on the wounds of lost love, a declaration for anyone whoโ€™s ever been burned by passion. โ€œItโ€™s about being addicted to someone whoโ€™s already gone, and still fantasising about revenge,โ€ Ray confesses.
