The movie of the night premieres on November 10. Check out the mega version of Prey from their orchestra-backed show at the legendary Aussie venue now…
Last June, Parkway Drive performed a very special show at Sydney Opera House. In front of 2,000 fans, Byron Bay’s finest teamed up with a full orchestra and special guests to reimagine their music in one of Australia’s most iconic settings.
Now, the band have announced that the movie of the night, Home, will have its global premiere in Australia on November 10, with the accompanying live album, Home โ Live At The Sydney Opera House, set to follow on December 4.
To celebrate the announcement, Parkway have also shared a huge orchestra-backed version of Prey, giving the Ire favourite a suitably epic makeover.
The Sydney show was already one of the band’s most ambitious performances to date, but Parkway weren’t content with simply putting on a massive gig. In October last year, frontman Winston McCall was dropped onto the roof of the venue by helicopter as part of a publicity stunt for the film.
โThis is literally the stunt that they said no to Tom Cruise for but somehow Parkway Drive ended up doing it,โ he told news.com.au. โThey said no to us for about nine months, telling us all the things we would have to do to do it, and we persisted to the point they said yes, you can do it and then no-one else will ever be able to do it again.โ
Now, the full spectacle will finally be available to fans, with Home premiering next month and the live album arriving just in time for Christmas.
