“This is a new era for Aftershock, and Sacramento is about to feel it.” The West Coast’s biggest rock, punk and metal weekend just got a whole lot bigger for its 14th year.

Aftershock has never looked this stacked.

The Sacramento festival returns to Discovery Park from October 1 to 4, and organisers Danny Wimmer Presents have confirmed it’s the biggest bill in the event’s 14-year history: over 140 acts across a newly expanded five-stage site.

Thursday kicks things off with My Chemical Romance headlining what’s set to be a huge one, marking 20 years since The Black Parade, alongside The Offspring and Sublime. Friday flips the script entirely with Limp Bizkit on top, joined by Wu-Tang Clan on their Final Chamber run, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill. Saturday belongs to Pierce The Veil, stepping into a headline slot for the very first time, backed by A Day To Remember and BABYMETAL. And Tool close the whole thing out on Sunday alongside Queens Of The Stone Age.

That’s before you even get to the rest of the bill, which includes AFI, The Used, Stone Temple Pilots, Circa Survive, The Pretty Reckless and dozens more spanning metal, punk, emo and nu-metal.

“This year’s Aftershock marks a bold new chapter for the festival,” says Danny Wimmer. “We’ve brought together metal, punk, emo and nu-metal to create a line-up that’s raw, youthful, and unapologetic. With Tool anchoring the weekend and Pierce The Veil making their headlining debut, we’re breaking boundaries and redefining what Aftershock can be.”

There’s a new addition to the site too. After years of people asking for it, camping is finally happening. “We’re finally introducing camping, giving fans the chance to fully immerse themselves in the weekend,” Wimmer adds. “This is a new era for Aftershock, and Sacramento is about to feel it.”

Four-day, single day, GA, VIP and Capital Club passes are all on sale now.
