Public Opinion have revealed the details of their second studio album, The Curse Of Public Opinion.

Set for release on August 7 through SideOneDummy, the band’s upcoming effort is being touted as “absolutely massive” in a press release, something that’s immediately clear from its boisterous opening track, Balloon Man Running.

Alongside the announcement, the band have dropped the single’s video, offering a first taste of what’s to come from the new record.

Lyrically, vocalist Kevin Hart leans into something more raw and unfiltered than your typical polished angst.

“A lot of bands make music about feeling bad but they’re so dialled-in,” he explains. “I think our message is a little more messy, but a lot more human. At the end of the day I’m kind of a quiet, angry guy. I don’t explode, I implode. So when it comes to the songs I don’t try to stop all that from coming through.”
