Unpeople double down on their vision ahead of a stacked summer festival run
Words by Felix Bartlett | April 21, 2026
unpeople are back with their first new music of 2026, unveiling the powerful new single and video clouds.
With a huge summer on the horizon, including appearances at Slam Dunk Festival, Rock for People and Download Festival, the band are wasting no time setting the tone for whatโs to come.
Made up of Jake Crawford, Luke Caley, Em Lodge and Richard Rayner, the quartet use clouds to reaffirm their identity and creative independence. As Jake explains, the track is โessentially about not letting yourself be influenced by what other people think you should be doing to get ahead artistically, and trusting your own vision and process.โ
Reflecting on the bandโs early days, he adds: โI could feel myself being pulled in lots of directions when we started the band, and Iโm glad we stuck to our guns. This song feels like a perfect representation of that โ โnot buying itโ, whether thatโs quick fixes or jumping on trends, musically or in how we present ourselves.โ
