Mimi Barks makes a fierce return with her latest single, Dreamstate Of Hell, marking the beginning of a bold new chapter.

“Everywhere I look I see noise, decay, violence, distraction and now war…” with those stark words, Mimi steps back into the spotlight exactly as promised, armed with new music that cuts straight to the core.

Following the recent postponement of her UK headline tour to make space for fresh material, Dreamstate Of Hell arrives as her first release of this new era. And it’s a heavy one.

Speaking on the track, Mimi explains: “Sometimes it feels like the world is slipping into a dreamstate of hell and most people do not even realise they are asleep inside it.

“Everywhere I look, I see noise, decay, violence, distraction and now war becoming part of the daily landscape again. But to me heaven and hell are not places waiting for us when we die, they’re states of consciousness we create every day while we are here in the flesh.

“The real question is what you choose to feed: the poison or the light. Dreamstate Of Hell was the first song I wrote after moving to Los Angeles, and it became the starting point for everything that followed.”
