In a space bathed in low, blood-coloured light, accompanied by her guitarist and a suite of audio effects, N0TRIXX from the murky parts of Lancaster made her appearance. Attired in her trademark dark aesthetic, she displayed a ravenous elegance. Her sound – a seductive cocktail of metal, trap, and synth elements – allowed the Manchester audience to feel the frank power behind every lyric articulated and every beat sensed. It was the unadulterated making for a potent, dark, and compelling show in Manchester.ย
N0TRIXXโs lyrical output demonstrated a commendable boldness in its systematic examination of various mental health paradigms, meticulously analysing an array of psychiatric conditions – ranging from cognitive impairment and neurodevelopmental disorders to anxiety and dissociative identity disorder – conveyed with a high degree of phenomenological authenticity. It represented a courageous and uncompromised conversion of subjective psychological insights through an aesthetic medium.
