Sleep Theory’s arrival at KOKO on February 12th carried a weight of inevitability that few debut UK headline tours can claim. The Memphis four-piece had already sold out the original venue within thirty minutes of tickets going on sale, forcing a swift upgrade that still couldn’t fully contain the demand. What unfolded on Camden’s storied stage was the kind of first impression that bands spend careers chasing, Cullen Moore commanding the room with a vocal performance that made the ceiling feel lower and the crowd feel like one, while the band behind him delivered the bruising, emotionally-loaded set that Afterglow promised and then some. For a group on their first-ever run of UK dates, they looked anything but new to this.
