Ahead of the release of their new album A Short History Of Decay and the launch of their 2026 tour dates, Nothing kick off the year with their punishing new track ‘Toothless Coal’.

The track is the latest preview of the band’s forthcoming fifth album A Short History Of Decay, which arrives on February 27 via Run For Cover, and follows previously released singles Cannibal World and Purple Strings.

Due next month, A Short History Of Decay is described as Nothing’s most expansive and emotionally direct release to date, a widescreen reckoning with time, truth and the body’s slow unraveling. The record also captures frontman Domenic “Nicky” Palermo at his most unflinching yet, confronting aging, illness and memory with stark clarity.

In support of the release, Nothing will hit the road throughout 2026, beginning with Japanese dates alongside Whirr in February before embarking on an extensive North American headline run, followed by UK and European shows.
