Metalcore Monolith Of Mice and Men continue to reinvent themselves on โAnother Miracleโ.
Words by Bevan Hillier-McBean | 13 Nov, 2025
Of Mice and Men are one of those bands that seems like an ever-presence for metalheads of a certain generation, and on Another Miracle they show just why they have stayed around for so long.
Another Miracle is Of Mice and Men for the modern day, with synths and melody to the forefront once again, brought together with slamming breakdowns and grinding riffs that prove the band still has what it takes to get crowds moving and tears flowing.
Opening with โA Waltzโ, a swaying anthem seemingly designed for fans to two (or three?) step to their hearts content. This energy continues on Hourglass, with the kind of build to a breakdown that gets pits moving over and over.
Juxtaposed with songs like โWake Upโ which come right out of Of Mice and Menโs emotional wheelhouse, and โFlowersโ a synth laden ballad, feeling like a response to some of the bands of recent who no doubt owe much of their sound to the influence of Of Mice and Men.
โAnother Miracleโ, the titular track is without a doubt the melding of all of these sounds into aย powerful and moving anthem, a return to form for a band in which many had started to wonderย just what they would become moving forward. Whether you found the band 10 days ago or 10ย years ago, โAnother Miracleโ will take you through all eras of Of Mice and Men, and remind youย just why theyโve demanded the respect of the scene for as long as they have.ย ย
Itโs the broad songwriting on this album that showcase just how wide reaching this band is, take it from them, โโฆeveryone, and I mean everyone, knows what it’s like to wish for a miracle during a time when everything seems hopeless. It seems to be one of those core human experiences that ties us all together. That’s exactly what Another Miracle is aboutโฆโ For fans of Wage War, The Plot in You, or metalcore in general.
