In his newest musical venture, TX2’s Evan Thomas has enlisted rapper Ekoh for a cleverly ironic single that takes aim at a familiar stereotype. Hot on the heels of his recent work with DeathbyRomy, Thomas delivers what he calls a satirical take on modern masculinity.

The track explores the concept of self-proclaimed “nice guys” who often prove to be anything but, according to Thomas. He explains his fascination with satirical songwriting and how this particular cultural phenomenon caught his attention as source material.

The song takes an introspective turn during its bridge section, where Thomas reflects on his own romantic patterns. He acknowledges tendencies toward avoiding commitment that he recognizes could lead to isolation down the road.

One response to “Ekoh Joins TX2 For a Self-Deprecating Track “Nice Guy””

  1. I think this is the best song he’s put out since Randy McNally. Love metalcore but his past few songs have been pretty generic (bar Burn) but this is a noticeable departure from the formula he’s been following, while still keeping an incredible breakdown. I think the chorus could’ve been a bit better but overall definitely a step in the right direction. Still not as good as Where’d u come from or Vampire by rumour but still promising.
