Cambridge emo outfit Lonesome have unveiled the music video for their new single “We Are Sleepless,” coinciding with the release of their debut album ‘In the Hope This Finds You’ via Easy Life Records.

The delicate yet unflinching track showcases the emotional depth that runs throughout the quintet’s debut full-length, establishing Lonesome as an emerging force in the UK’s emo and post-rock scene.

Discussing the new single, the band explain: “We Are Sleepless captures the liminal state of emotional insomnia, a restless mind wandering through regrets, memories, and flickers of resilience. It is the sound of being disconnected, internally adrift, yet still faintly alive beneath it all. The refrain ‘We are sleepless’ becomes a mantra of shared disquiet. Two people, perhaps once close, now float in separate silences, and yet there’s a strange comfort in that mutual drifting, as if pain is more bearable when not borne alone.

“‘I see you, but I’m alive’ carries the song toward a quiet, defiant survival; a heartbeat in the dark that refuses to give in. We Are Sleepless is both fragile and resilient: a portrait of what it means to endure when sleep, peace, and certainty feel just out of reach.”

The ten-track album has been crafted as a cohesive journey, with each song flowing seamlessly into the next. Notably, the record’s tracklist forms a complete sentence when read in sequence, creating a poetic statement that mirrors the album’s introspective themes.

Lonesome will celebrate the release with an album launch show on October 18th.
