The O2 Academy Islington was a pressure cooker of raw energy as Catch Your Breath took the stage, proving why their meteoric rise is anything but luck. Fresh off massive festival slots and tours with heavyweights like Falling in Reverse and Breaking Benjamin, the Austin quartet stepped into their own as headlinersโand London responded with a roar.
From the momentย ‘Ghost Inside’ the Shellย kicked in, the room belonged to them. Frontman Josh Mowery commanded every inch of the stage, his presence magnetic, while the band delivered a set so tight it felt like a sonic gut-punch. Tracks likeย ‘Savages’ย andย ‘Dial Tone’ (the latter supercharged by a surprise appearance from Until I Wakeโs Niko Karras) turned the crowd into a single, screaming entity. Even in quieter moments, like the hauntingย ‘Mirror’ย andย ‘No Evil’, the connection was palpable, a testament to the bandโs ability to balance fury with vulnerability.
