Ipswich’s most dangerous musical exportย Native Jamesย has transformed his original grime banger into a full-throttle crossover monster withย “BLOCK (RR)”ย โ€“ the definitive version that’s been destroying his live shows. The track now boasts a crushing new instrumental backdrop and an incendiary feature fromย Professor Green, who came onboard after a chance meeting at London’sย One by One tattoo studio.

“I heard it, ran to my studio and recorded myself freestyling,” says Professor Green. “I lean into the songs about the blocks I grew up in โ€“ everyone on this track stepped fully out.”

Native explains: “This is about communities where different cultures collide and create something unique. To have iconic artists on a chorus I wrote in my mate’s bedroom years ago… it’s humbling.”
