Like a fine wine,ย Zenithย proves that Bleed From Within only get sharper with time with their 20-year grind erupting into their fiercest, most refined album yet

After years of grinding through the UK metal underground, Bleed From Within have delivered their magnum opus with Zenith โ a crushing, career-best statement that proves why theyโre now leading the modern metal charge. Following massive tours with Slipknot and triumphant Download Festival sets, this seventh album sees the Glasgow quintet operating at their absolute peak.
From the opening pummel of ‘Violent Nature’, itโs evident that Bleed From Within have perfected their signature blend of bone-snapping grooves and soaring melodies. The production (courtesy of Adam “Nolly” Getgood and Dan Weller) is pristine yet punishing, giving every chug, blast beat, and guttural roar room to demolish. Tracks like ‘In Place of Your Halo’ showcase their bold creativity, unexpectedly weaving bagpipes into the breakdown without losing an ounce of brutality (and yes bagpipes and metal go down an absolute bloody treat as we all know).
The albumโs genius lies in its balance. ‘God Complex’ channels Parkway Driveโs anthemic grandeur, while ‘Immortal Desire’ (featuring Mastodonโs Brann Dailor) ventures into epic, cinematic territory without sacrificing their core sound. Josh Middletonโs guest spot on ‘Hands of Sin’ delivers one of the albumโs most vicious thrash assaults, proving the band can trade blows with metalโs heaviest hitters.
Vocalist Scott Kennedy delivers his most dynamic performance yet, shifting between hellish roars and haunting cleans on the moody ‘Edge of Infinity’. The rhythm section remains peerless โ Ali Richardsonโs drumming is both technically jaw-dropping and groove-focused, while the guitar duo of Craig Gowans and Steven Jones layers razor-sharp riffs with melodic depth.
Like a fine wine, Zenith has proven that with time Bleed From Within have been able to continue to grow with this serving coming as their strongest album to date. Itโs a masterclass in modern metal done right. Every track balances brute force with smart songwriting, proving their two-decade grind was leading to this exact moment.
