Remember when The Ghost Inside made their triumphant return to music in 2020 after a horrific bus crash and the hiatus that emerged from it? Well, we’re here to let you know that while their latest outing ‘Searching For Solaceโ was met with mixed reviews from critics their live performance has never been better with their show at the O2 Academy, Islington in London. Joined by Gideon and Boundaries this was a night of epic metalcore madness fuelled by a powerful 70-minute, career-spanning set to a packed out crowd.
On Thursday night The Ghost Inside made their grand return to the big smoke and were met with a crowd hungry for the Cali legends’ signature metalcore sound. As soon as they enter the set is kicked off off with “Death Grip,” which was met with the crowd erupting into a mass of circle pits and crowd surfing. Following this their epic track “The Great Unknown” has become a mass sing-along anthem. Of course the The Ghost Inside are back with a few new tracksup their sleeve and their new track “Split” doesn’t disappoint with the track hitting hard! “Pressure Points,” then follows as frontman Jonathan Vigil leads the crowd in the chorus as they chant “F*** this!” during the chorus.

Whilst the night has been an evening of celebration Vigil takes a moment to reflect on the bandโs journey after their bus accident, acknowledging drummer Andrew Tkaczykโs remarkable performance, playing the entire set with one leg. On the note of performances it has to be noted that guitarists Chris Davis and Zach Johnson, along with bassist Jim Riley, delivered an exceptional performance with tracks like “Wash It Away,” and “Avalance” being but two notable standouts from the absolutely stacked setlist. With an absolutely stacked 18-track setlist, the setlist had something for everyone, with the final five tracks digging into the archives of their discography and delivering an absolutely nostalgia-filled ending to the set with โEngine 45” rounding off the night with the entire crowd screaming out every line. Tonight it was evident that The Ghost Inside are back and they’re here to stay with 2025 looking like it could be the band’s biggest to date.
