Boston Manor have unveiled their final single, ‘Horses In A Dream,’ ahead of their highly anticipated fifth album, SUNDIVER, set to release on September 6th via SharpTone Records. This new track follows recent singles ‘Container,’ ‘Sliding Doors,’ and ‘HEAT ME UP,’ offering fans another taste of the Blackpool quintet’s evolving sound

The new addition, ‘Horses In A Dream’ showcases a refreshing synth groove that’s likely to become a fan favourite. The single explores themes of “raw human intimacy, desperation, and deep emotional connections”, as guitarist Mike Cunniff explains.

SUNDIVER represents a significant milestone for Boston Manor, being the culmination of two years of work and four years of planning. Lead singer Henry Cox describes the album as their “best and most ambitious record to date,” crafted to evoke the feeling of “blistering sunshine” without resorting to typically “happy” or “major key” sounds.

“Going into the pandemic we knew our next record would be a double album released in two parts, the first a short shadowy-noiry electronic record set over one night and the second a sprawling rock record that documents the following day. Both albums are products of their environments, we made Datura in the dead of winter in a windowless studio complex that mostly just produced techno, we’d enter before the sun rose and leave long after it set, basically never seeing sunlight. We made SUNDIVER in Welwyn Garden City over two summers, we barbecued every day & would walk across the road to a meadow and just take naps in the sunshine when we weren’t recording.”

UK fans who attended Boston Manor’s performances at 2000 Trees Festival have already had a preview of some new tracks. The band is set to embark on a UK tour later this year, where ‘Horses In A Dream’ will undoubtedly feature prominently in their live sets.
