It is T-Minus 3 weeks until we head back to the hallowed ground of Donington for Download Festival 2024 and we don’t know about you but we are struggling to contain our excitement. The iconic UK festival will return to Donington Park between the 14-16th of June. We are unsure if it’s going to be a drownload or repetition of last years desert oasis but come rain or shine here are just a few highlights from this years line-up we can’t wait to see!

BAD OMENS

Bad Omens have been rapidly gaining a strong following, and their set at Download Festival is a perfect opportunity to see why they’re one of the most talked-about bands in the scene right now.

In the space of two years, they have gone from touring 500-1000 cap venues to supporting Bring Me The Horizon on their sellout arena tour… It is safe to say the Opus Stage will be packed out for their set so get there in time to catch one of the hottest bands on the rise to well-deserved fame.

ATREYU

One of the most accomplished metalcore bands, rising to the top since their beginning over 20 years ago, with nine studio albums, all successful and original as they come. The band have been long overdue a return to Donington and with a Sunday set on the final day of the festival we’re sure to be in for an epic treat.

ELECTRIC CALLBOY

After a hugely successful set headlining the Avalanche Stage last year and with a theatrical release and a collaboration with non other than Babymetal, the Callboy’s are without a doubt set to deliver an unforgettable show.

ENTER SHIKARI

Hot off their heels from headlining Wembley Arena Enter Shikari are no stranger to putting on a spectacular performance to crowd sizes of epic proportion. With this years slot being their highest to date and a No. 1 album under their belts expect big things from the Shikari sound machine.

WARGASM

Bringing a fresh, explosive mix of punk, metal, and electronic vibes, Wargasm are a band you cannot miss the opportunity to see live. Their shows are wild, with insane energy and a raw, intense sound that totally grabs you.

They have an un-apologetic badass, no-holds-barred attitude that really connects with fans looking for something real and powerful. Catching them at Download is your chance to see a band that’s on the rise, and trust me, their set is gonna be unforgettable.

KARNIVOOL

One of Australia’s biggest progressive rock bands that rarely tour the United Kingdom and have only been back for a string of shows last year. Being known for their incredible sound and spectacular live performances this is sure to be a once in a lifetime chance to catch the Aussie legends whilst on our shores.

LIMP BIZKIT

Anyone else got Woodstock 99’ flashbacks? Just us? Then head to YouTube to see for your self why we’re pumped for this set!

Icons of nu-metal, known for hits songs like ‘Break Stuff,’ ‘Rollin’, and ‘Nookie’, Limp Bizkit’s ability to blend rap, rock, and heavy riffs creates a unique and exhilarating experience that is going to be full of nostalgia. It is sure to be a highlight and one of the most bat shit crazy performances of the weekend!

WHILE SHE SLEEPS

A must for fans of high-energy, engaging live performances. The Sleeps Brothers are renowned for their insane stage presence and ability to connect with their audience, creating a memorable experience for all present.

They have a reputation for delivering standout festival performances, often highlighted as some of the best by festival-goers. Their dedicated fan base coupled with the potential to hear some of their new material live, make their set a must see for us.

PANTERA

Problematic? You decide, but Pantera are a household name that were a defining band in the metal genre and haven’t performed in the uk since the early 2000’s! Fan or not this is one for the history books.

THY ART IS MURDER

Some more Aussie legends, Thy Art is Murder are returning to Download Festival for the first time since 2018.

These guys have a knack for addressing deep, often controversial themes in their music, which only adds an extra layer of intensity to their performances. Seeing them live is not just about the music; it’s about experiencing the sheer ferocity and passion they bring. If you’re into heavy music that really hits hard, their set at Download is something you definitely don’t want to miss.

SILVERSTEIN

Emos were you @? Silverstein continue to deliver on their incredible live performances and are the perfect excuse to bring out your eye liner and ripped skinny jeans from the closet.

SUM 41

Being their final uk festival performance we’ve got one last chance to see if the band really are in too deep.

With a career spanning over two decades and hits like ‘Fat Lip,’ and ‘In Too Deep,’ Sum 41 brings the ultimate nostalgic set to close the weekend on Sunday afternoon. After their string of incredible shows the gang are ready to bring their infectious energy, engaging stage presence, stacked set list one last time to Donnington.

NOISY

Feeling somewhat out of place but also not (anyone remember when chase and status performed MainStage?) Noisy have continued to embrace their distinctive blend of dance, rap and drum and bass and have continued to deliver sensational live performances that have seen the band excel over the past few years.

SCOWL

If Scowl aren’t on your radar already, why not is all we have to ask?! We caught them at Reading Festival for the first time last year and it was an immediate jaws to the floor reaction.

This female fronted band are making waves in the punk and hardcore scene. They’re all about bringing that old-school punk vibe with a fresh twist, and their stage presence is something you won’t forget. If you’re into hardcore punk that’s raw and real, catching Scowl at Download this year is a must. They’re one of those bands that remind you why you love live music in the first place.

THE USED

It goes without saying The Used are legends in the emo and post-hardcore scene. With classic hits like ‘The Taste of Ink,’ ‘Buried Myself Alive,’ and ‘I Caught Fire,’ their setlist is bound to be packed with sing-along anthems that take you right back to your myspace days.

We have curated a playlist with some more bangers by artists on the line-up, who are you most excited to see!?
